Micro-HDMI adapters don’t work well on the Pi 4

Yes, like many others, we don’t like the Micro-HDMI connectors on the Raspberry Pi 4. Most people have plenty of HDMI cables already available that could be used with adapters also on the Pi 4. We also thought that this could be an inexpensive option – until we tried.

You see that the Micro-HDMI connector is very close to the USB-C power connector, the power connector bends here. Does it work? Yes. Is it a good solution? We don’t think so. While adapters for the power supply work quite well, for the video connection, we recommend a native Micro-HDMI cable.
