Automating your HiFiBerry systems
Most HiFiBerry users just run their systems stand-alone and only stream music from a streaming service or the smart phone. That’s fine, but today you can do a lot of other interesting things. Think about the following ideas:
- Control your HiFiBerry system using Google Home or Amazon Alexa
- Start your favorite radio station when you wake up
- Stop music playback when you leave the house
These are just a few simply ideas which can be done using automation. With modern automation systems like Node-RED, rule-based automation is relatively easy to implement even if you’re not a programmer, though it still requires some knowledge about APIs and data structures. A tiny bit of programming know-how will also help. But it is less complicated than many of you might think.
