US shipping and customs processing
In the last weeks, there have been majpor changes in US customs. While you might have already heard of the tariffs, there are also changes in handling imports in general. Importers are now required to full out the CBP form 5106. As far as we understand this is required for both postal service, but also FedEx shipments. Due to the complex customs procedures, shipments are expected to be much slower than usual. We hope the situation improves and US customs will be able to handle the processes faster in the future. However, we don’t know. Therefore, we can only inform you that there might be longer delays than usual.
Important: If you see that your FedEx package has been imported into the US and is in custom processing, contact FedEx directly to send them the 5106 form if you didn’t do this already. We also got feedback from some custoemrs, that you might need to re-send it even if you filled it out before.
